Hello!
I'm Tessa... the photographer behind Light Love Laughter Photography. I have a passion for life and for capturing it beautifully. I was a bride who was frustrated with the experience I had with my wedding photographer and have since been on a mission to make sure my brides never experience the same frustrations and disappointments.
I'm not your average photographer. I'm the oldest of 14, a Husker fan at heart and love wearing flip-flops year round.
I've been blessed with a gift to tell stories through capturing the emotion of a moment and the love that two people share. I love nothing more than when a bride becomes a friend. (next to my husband and Yorkie Poo, Maggie of course!)

- the most amazing & supporting husband anyone could ask for!
I Will...
-run a marathon before the end of 2011
-travel to Europe to shoot a wedding (it might be yours!)
-travel back to Peru
-disconnect for a week- no phones- no internet!
-take a vacation with my husband this year
-travel to New Zealand
-start a charity
-travel to Haiti with my camera
-have coffee more frequently with friends

Would you like my life story? Well not really- it's very abbreviated... read on!
I was born and raised in Nebraska, when I was 8 my best friend was my horse, Snip. We spent hours together and even won the barrel racing event my first year of 4-H. She passed due to a sudden death and it's a day I'll never forget. I treasured my pictures of her like they were gold. Think of it as loosing your dog.. and you're only 8. Looking back that was a pivotal moment in my childhood and I was always the first one to "grab the camera" when something happened or we happened to be visiting somewhere new.
A new horse named Ace became my loyal and faithful steed (even though it was his hoof that broke my arm when I was 9), but he'd never replace old Snip.
Fast Forward about 10 years and I packed my bags and headed to Georgia for college. I'd dreamed of becoming a neurosurgeon since I was young and set off on the long road ahead to make that childhood dream come true.... as you can see life didn't turn out quite like I had once dreamed. :)
I met my husband on Match, graduated 5 months later (with a degree in Biochemistry), moved to Manila and spent 4 months living and serving orphans and came home to my boyfriend. He surprised me with my first dslr and I never put it down.
We were engaged on 7 Mile Beach in Grand Cayman at Christmas 2008 and got married in a beautiful valley in Tennessee on May 23, 2009.
